Installation accompanying text by Nia Pushkarova, Reading University 1995
When you enter a room(the room) you find yourself praying.
The candles in the sand boxes are your acknowedgement for the dead and put up there is
the alive image of you in a space of worship.
You like the feeling of it.
You see the wall between you and the peraying figure.
You feel quite safe.
On the other side of the wall, theer are pulling pushing images, almost ina darkness. The wall disables you to see the full meaning of the light behind it, and you are striving to see what's on the other side.
You could recongnise the energy that forces everything to go on the other side.
There is nothing complete without the both sides of the wall
exsisting at the same time.
There is nothing real to it either, the only real thing is the wall in between.
For some people it is a source of recongnising and defining themselves within the light.
For others it is a source of enlightening their reasons and reinforcing their energy and motivation to break through.
No one knows what is to happen if one of the sides overcomes the other and embraces it with its reasons
